Return to in-person instruction February 3

As announced earlier this month and in line with the Government of Quebec’s directives, in-person courses will resume on February 3.

Sporting events and live performances remain suspended until further notice.  

Key health and safety measures

As a reminder, many measures have put in place during the pandemic to protect the health and safety of the Concordia community. A few highlights:

• You must wear a procedure mask at all times while indoors on campus, including in the classroom and in shared spaces, libraries, hallways, elevators, lobbies, reception areas, kitchens, and washrooms. Your professor will also be wearing a mask. Learn more about mask requirements.
• We continue to maintain and operate all heating and ventilation systems to ensure that they are functioning properly and as designed, with the ongoing goal of increasing ventilation and air quality wherever possible.
• If you have COVID-19 symptoms, suspect you have the virus or you test positive, do not come to campus. Instead, follow the COVID-19 case procedure in place. An important step is filling in the Self-Isolation form.

Academic accommodations

• The university has extended the DISC deadline. You now have until April 18 to withdraw from a course with no academic penalty.
• You can ask your course instructor for accommodation if you face circumstances that threaten your academic progress. Learn more about your options.

Keep in mind

• You will need a vaccine passport  to take part in on-campus events and activities not linked directly to the university’s academic, research and institutional work.
• Eating and break areas: You can eat in any location that lets you be seated AND two metres from others except for the Library, the shuttle bus, classrooms, studios and labs, where no food or beverages are allowed. You must wear your mask when not actively eating or drinking.

The safety of our community is a shared responsibility. We encourage you to get vaccinated or book your booster dose now, if you haven’t already.
