Changes to the last pays of 2023 further to a SAP (Unity) system upgrade

As part of our regular maintenance and in preparation for the upcoming calendar year, we are required to upgrade our systems. SAP (our supplier for Unity including Payroll) recently informed their clients, including Concordia, that one of these required upgrades will result in a small discrepancy in tax amounts paid to the federal government. The amounts in question are, on average, approximately 91 cents per bi-weekly pay or 45 cents per weekly pay. Our Faculty and staff will therefore notice a slight discrepancy on the remaining pays of 2023.

We have been informed that this should have been effective on January 1, 2023. Therefore, please note that any discrepancy for the 2023 calendar year will be automatically reconciled by the Federal government at the time of filing this year’s federal income tax returns.
