Representatives from Concordia and the Concordia University Continuing Education Part-Time Faculty Union (CUCEPTFU) met on June 19 to formalize the signing of the new collective agreement.

CUCEPTFU represents approximately 140 part-time continuing education instructors. The negotiating teams were headed by Beverley Leblanc, president of CUCEPTFU, and Pierre Claude Bourke, Human Resources’ manager of employee relations.

“We are happy to have reached this agreement with the university,” says Leblanc. “It will continue to improve working conditions and ensure better protection for CUCEPTFU members.”

Pierre Claude Bourke sends his congratulations to both the university and CUCEPTFU.

“I’m very pleased with the collaboration from both negotiation teams,” he says. “Together, we were able to find mutually beneficial solutions that cater to the interest of both parties.”

The new agreement covers the period from September 7, 2023, to September 6, 2026. Complete details of the agreement are available on the Concordia website in English and in French.
