‘Our thoughts are with the families and friends of Siavash and Sara’

Dear Concordians,

We were deeply saddened to learn that two of our alumni — Siavash Ghafouri-Azar, MASc 19, and Sara Mamani, MASc 18 — are among those who lost their lives in the January 8 airplane crash in Iran.

On behalf of the Concordia community, I’d like to extend our condolences to the families and friends of Siavash and Sara during this difficult time.

Our thoughts are with them, and with all the Concordians who have been affected by this tragedy.
