As part of International Women's Day, Concordia celebrates its trailblazing women whose contributions shape our university. This video looks at our pioneers, leaders, change agents and philanthropists who help shape the future for the next generation.

- Rita Shane, BA 37, first woman to graduate from Sir George Williams University, one of Concordia's founding institutions
- Gwen Lord, BSC 56, first Black school principal for the English Montreal School Board and Sir George Williams Basketball player
- Tenicha Gittens, head coach, Concordia Stingers Women's Basketball, who is changing the game by recruiting people of colour for coaching positions
- Gina Cody, MEng 81, PhD 89, former engineer, business leader, benefactor and namesake of the Gina Cody School of Engineering and Computer Science
