Meet Catherine Vigeant
If there's one thing Catherine loves, it's a challenge. And she never ceases to rise to the occasion. In her former position as National Sales Representative for Québecor, Catherine's main focus was to fully understand her clients so she could find the ideal media solutions to meet their needs. Today, as Marketing and Business Development Director at CCE, she's still focused on meeting needs—those of her students, staff, business partners and teachers. For her, it's a labour of love. Like everyone at CCE, she is at heart, a people person, driven by a desire to get to know them so she can support them and help them develop to their fullest, academically, personally and professionally.
Catherine was hand picked for her new role by CCE's Executive Director, Isabel Dunnigan. To be sure, her experience and academic credentials were impressive — a B.A. in Management and Marketing, an M.A. in Communications and a number of other diplomas and accreditations. But one of the things that really caught Madame Dunnigan's eye was Catherine's drive. She's intensely competitive. Not with others, but with herself. It's true at work, in her role as a mother, and in her life as a self-confessed sports addict. A certified yoga teacher and ski coach who also plays tennis, Catherine works out in the gym, runs, lifts and through it all, breathes, centering herself to find the balance and energy she needs to be her very best.
Like the city and the university she represents, Catherine is fully bilingual and bicultural, a person who thrives on diversity and lifelong growth. She understands the need to stay one step ahead of the curve. And what better place to put that philosophy to work than CCE, an institution devoted to helping people from diverse backgrounds better themselves, preparing them to meet the ever-changing needs of the workplace and life itself.
