Challenge gifts — pledged by individuals or organizations — make Shufflers' efforts go even further. By offering a dollar amount per Shuffler or an incremental amount based on funds raised, challenge gifts encourage colleagues and friends to participate in the Shuffle or to strive to raise even more for an important cause.
More than 20 Concordians have already pledged their challenge gifts this year.
One of them is Bram Freedman, vice-president of Development and External Relations.
“I’m proud to be part of a community that comes together to encourage our students. I challenge the members of my team to do their very best to support deserving students through the Shuffle,” he says, having pledged $2 per Shuffler from the Advancement and Alumni Relations and External Relations and Secretary-General sectors.
