Whether they seek advice or help with cover letters and resumés, or are looking to shadow a professional in the workplace, mentees can gain from the wisdom and generosity of those who’ve come before them. Mentees can finesse their search by industry, faculty and geographic location, allowing them to find the mentor best matched to their interests.
For Concordia alumni, becoming a mentor is an excellent way to give back to the university community. Grads are encouraged to activate their mentor status on their Concordia Alumni Connect profiles to become visible on the portal to mentees.
Graduation Transition Conference
Students nearing the end of their studies can attend the Alumni Matters Graduation Transition Conference, a yearly gathering where Concordia graduates impart their wisdom onto current students. PDFs and podcasts from the 2016 conference are available on the website. This year’s conference will be held March 8 and 9.
