The Concordia awards season is just around the corner and we’re asking the community for help in identifying outstanding people.
“It's wonderful to learn who inspires our community members and how our nominees are bringing positive change to the world,” says Nancy Wada, Concordia’s alumni officer, Board and Volunteer Management, who manages the awards selection process.

Eleven outstanding Concordians will receive Alumni Recognition Awards, the Concordia University Alumni Association’s highest honours, next spring.
Help us recognize the contribution of someone innovative who goes the extra mile for Concordia or the greater community and embodies the values of our university.
We’re looking for the next generation of change makers. Trailblazers, leaders, volunteers — people whose vision and efforts transform lives.
There are award categories for graduates, faculty, staff, students and friends of Concordia and its founding institutions, Loyola College and Sir George Williams University.

Loyola Medal
From artists to scientists, politicians to business leaders, tell us who inspires you on the Canadian scene.
One of Concordia’s highest honours, the Loyola Medal recognizes extraordinary leadership, character and impact on society.
The first medal was awarded in 1963 to General Georges P. Vanier, BA 1906, former governor general of Canada and alumnus of Loyola College, one of Concordia’s founding institutions.
Other distinguished recipients include humanitarian Roméo Dallaire, hockey great Jean Béliveau, astronaut Roberta Bondar, jazz pianist Oscar Peterson and Olympian Clara Hughes.
