Concordia neuroscientist Mihaela Iordanova appointed Deputy Editor-in-Chief at eNeuro
Mihaela Iordanova, associate professor of psychology in Concordia’s Faculty of Arts and Science, has been named Deputy Editor-in-Chief of eNeuro, a leading open-access journal published by the Society for Neuroscience. In her new role, Iordanova will help oversee the publication of cutting-edge research in the field of neuroscience, guiding submissions through peer review and ensuring high standards of scientific integrity.
“I’m excited to take on this leadership role and contribute to the dissemination of quality research,” says Iordanova, whose own work focuses on understanding the brain mechanisms involved in learning and memory.
Iordanova’s contributions to the field have been widely recognized. In 2020, she was awarded the Canadian Association for Neuroscience Young Investigator Award and in 2023 she received the Pavlovian Society Research Award for her groundbreaking research. She is President-Elect of the Pavlovian Society and a co-director of Concordia’s Center for Studies in Behavioral Neurobiology, where her team investigates the behavioural and neural mechanisms that regulate learning about fear and reward.
Her appointment as Deputy Editor-in-Chief marks another significant achievement in an already distinguished career, and reflects her dedication to advancing neuroscience research and mentorship.
