Prof. Kim Sawchuk receives engAGE new Syns Award
The award funds research on virtual reading materials older adults who are living in long-term term care
Congratuations to Professor Kim Sawchuk, who was awarded an engAGE New Syns Award, for the project, Reading, Virtually-Speaking: Pilot Interviews with Older Adults in Long-term Care.
The award will fund a project that brings together members of the ACTLab to work with RECLAIM to create and pilot a research tool to investigate what types of digitized or virtual reading materials older adults who are living in long-term term care, such as CHSLDs, would like to access and on what types of devices.
RECLAIM is a not-for profit located in Verdun. They provide literacy training and access to reading materials to older adults.
