The Frontiers Research Foundation, a Swiss non-profit that publishes hundreds of peer-reviewed open journals, is inviting sustainability scientists from around the world to apply for a new prize by October 25.

The Frontiers Planet Prize will award 1 million Swiss francs (around $1.4 million CAD) to three scientists who have published research that has the potential to prevent climate disaster.

The research must have been published in established scientific journals, with peer-review and transparent publication procedures, within the past two years.

Concordia researchers can apply by filling out the form and submitting it to Eli Friedland by October 25.

Three applicants will be nominated to the International Jury by the beginning of December.
