AD/CC/DO/FC/HA/HB/HC/HU/PC/PS/PY/RA/RF Buildings: Interruption of emergency power - January, February, May 2025

To the users and occupants of the AD/CC/DO/FC/HA/HB/HC/HU/PC/PS/PY/RA/RF Buildings,

A planned interruption of the emergency power is SCHEDULED for January, February, May 2025 according to the tables provided in an email previously sent to the Concordia community. Preventative maintenance is required to regularly inspect and maintain the generator and Automated Transfer Switch (ATS) to ensure optimal performance and reliability.

●        L- AD / Administration Building

●        L- CC/ Central Building

●        L- DO/ Stinger Dome

●        L- FC / FC Smith Building

●        L-HA / Hingston wing A

●        L-HB / Hingston wing B

●        L-HC / Hingston wing C

●        L-HU / Applied Science Hub

●        L- PC / Perform Center

●        L- PS / Physical Services Building

●        L- PY / Psychology Building

●        L- RA / Rec & Athletics Building

●        L- RF / Conference center

 

General Information

●        During these interruptions, emergency lighting and any equipment connected to emergency outlets that are not supported by an Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) will be affected.

●        Normal electrical power will not be affected by this maintenance.

●        Generator maintenance will cause two 10-second emergency power interruptions.

●        ATS maintenance will cause a 120-minute or 2 times 5 minutes emergency power shutdown depending on if a bypass is available or not.

●        ATS Visual inspection will cause no interruptions.

●        Automated Transfer Switch work will start at the scheduled time listed above.

●        The generator inspection will happen either before or after the 120-minute Automated Transfer Switch shutdown.

●        Depending on the technician and timing, the 10-minute generator shutdown may happen before or after the 120-minute Automated Transfer Switch inspection.
