Update:Microsoft Security Vulnerability: University Wide Printing Outage

Update: As of July 12, 2021: Patching is complete and the printing service is back to normal.

Note: Users working remotely will need to connect to the VPN for at least 2 hours and after the 2 hour time period restart their computer.

Update: As of July 8, 2021: IITS will be updating all Concordia owned computers on-campus over the weekend with a patch that addresses the Microsoft PrintNightmare vulnerability. As of Monday, July 12, printing is expected to be restored on campus. 

Please note that this update will not affect access to remote desktops or the VPN. 

Working remotely

For those who are working remotely on Concordia owned computers, please allow all computer updates to take place to ensure that the security patch is applied. This is important to maintain the security of your computers. 

For those working remotely on personal computers, you will have to have your VPN connection active for 2 hours and then reboot your PC.  This will ensure your PC is patched with the update.

Update: As of July 7, 2021: To maintain IT security, printing will remain unavailable at this time. We are working closely with Microsoft to ensure that a security patch is provided quickly to address the print nightmare vulnerability. Printing unavailable

Due to a Microsoft Security Vulnerability, printing across the university is unavailable until further notice.
