Design Call for Submissions
AI is too often (mis)represented by white robots and disembodied brains. Such imagery serves to abstract AI technologies from the material world, conjure notions of objectivity, and conceal human accountability.
In response to this, and in line with our own approach to AI technologies, the Applied AI Institute is calling for your designs to populate our 2025 Annual Report. We invite you to submit pieces of art that correspond to the themes in our report, which include:
- AI Adoption
- Mentorship
- Responsible AI
- Equity, Diversity, Inclusion
- Applied Research
- Interdisciplinary Research
- Training
- Public Engagement
All work submitted will be considered for inclusion in the annual report. Selected work will be licensed at the industry rate of $200 per image. We will credit each artist included.
Submission criteria
- This call is open to all Concordia students in good standing.
- Selected submissions will receive 200.00 for licensed images.
- An artist may be selected to design the cover of the Annual Report.
- Submissions should be sent to applied.ai@concordia.ca and will be accepted on a rolling basis starting March 1st, 2025
