Que signifie collaborer avec quelqu'un ou quelque chose? Burcu Emeç pose cette question avec un collaborateur imaginaire prenant la forme d'un papier-bulles. L’intervention artistique We were awkward at first, but then it was ok, trouble les tensions inhérentes à la collaboration, tout en tenant compte de la fonction des objets dans la performance. Cette pièce théâtrale se déroulera à travers une série de lettres performatives du 5 au 19 novembre et se culminera en une performance vidéo présentée le 26 novembre.
Cette démarche artistique évolutive fut développée avec le soutien du Laboratoire interdisciplinaire des écrivains par le biais de Playwrights ’Workshop Montréal.

Burcu Emeç
Burcu Emeçispracticing care, political action and rigorous curiosity. As a performance maker she blends social commentary, active listening, improvisation and visual art. Her work lives in the shifts between the highly poetic and unbearably banal, subverting codesof live performance and creating tensions between language and image. Burcu’s collaborative and independent projects have been shown in a wide range of settings in Montreal, Toronto and Germany. She is curator in residence with Christopher Willes at Studio 303 and artist in delegate production with LA SERRE-arts vivants. She is also a cultural worker and a coordinator at the artist-run centre articule. Burcu holds a BFA in Theatre Performance from Concordia University (2017).
