Otsenhákta Student Centre

Every year, the OSC holds a celebration for Indigenous graduates where graduates are presented with stoles.

The Otsenhákta Student Centre (OSC) offers services, support and a home away from home for Indigenous students.

The Centre offers programming that focuses on academics, culture and community. The Centre is a one-stop hub to get the support you need to succeed at Concordia University. It’s also a place where you can study, relax between classes and meet new friends.

The Centre offers:

  • Student advising
  • Academic and financial workshops
  • Computer lab, free copying, printing and scanning
  • Community feasts
  • Social and cultural activities including beadwork sessions, community cooking events, harvest retreats and medicine walks
  • Annual graduation celebration

Indigenous Student Groups

Concordia students lead a wide variety of groups that span cultural, social, professional, community and academic interests to help you get the most of your university experience.

First Peoples Studies Member Association 

The First Peoples Studies Member Association (FPSTMA) began in 2015 as the official student association of the First People Studies Program (Concordia University). FPSTMA provides information, support, and advocacy for students of the FPST program within the School of Community and Public Affairs, to represent the interests of FPST students at the ASFA Council as well as within the Concordia community, and to organize academic and social events. Read more
