Long distance service
Long distance capabilities can be added as a paid service to a basic phone plan, allowing the user to place long distance call from their on-campus location.

Faculty and staff.
How much does it cost?
There is a $25.00 service charge to add long distance capability to a phone that is not already enabled with long distance.
Long distance rates in North America:
Canada to Canada - $0.06
Canada to USA - $0.06
International rates:
For information on international rates, please submit your inquiry to the Service Desk.
How to get it
- All requests for additional telephone services must be submitted to the Service Desk by your departmental VoIP Coordinator.

The Class of Service on your telephone determines your ability to dial long distance calls. The classes of service are:
1. Internal calls only
2. Local, toll-free and internal calls
3. Long distance access with authorization code, local, toll-free and internal calls
4. Long distance access, no access to the Bell Canada operator or 411, local, toll-free and internal calls
5. Long distance access, plus access to the Bell Canada operator and 411*, local, toll-free and internal calls
If you currently do not have long distance capabilities on your telephone and required this feature, or if you wish to make a change to your class of service, speak to your department's VoIP Coordinator.
NOTE: Long distance, 411 and Operator-assisted calls are charged to the department owning the phone.
