Concordia Indigenous Directions

Indigenous Directions Leadership Council - a governing council whose mandate is to drive institutional change through the decolonization and indigenization of Concordia University. The IDLC provides leadership to the University, and undertakes this work for the benefit of past, present, and future students, faculty and staff, to prepare the ground for ongoing and increasing efforts to recalibrate the University’s internal and external relationships with Indigenous peoples.

Concordia Territorial Acknowledgement - English/French

Concordia Indigenous Directions Action Plan - a guide and tool to enable all Concordians to move the University towards a more equitable and inclusive future. It is created, in part, to respond to the Calls to Action of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission (TRC).

Five-year strategic implementation plan on decolonizing and Indigenizing curriculum and pedagogy (2023-2027) - This plan sets evolving priorities for the decolonization of curriculum and pedagogy at Concordia. 

Concordia Indigenous Elder and Community Protocols - The purpose of this document is to assist Concordia University faculty, staff, and students through the process of respectfully and ethically inviting, interacting, and/or collaborating with Indigenous peoples and communities. These guidelines and protocols may also aid in the development of policies and procedures concerning teaching, research, employment, and strategies for Indigenous community outreach and engagement.
