For me, cinema is not just a means of entertainment, but a powerful tool for social change. I have dedicated my life to sharing my love of filmmaking and the power of interactive visual storytelling with the next generation of artists. Growing up in Lima, Peru, I discovered my passion for storytelling and began experimenting with film as a medium for artistic expression that can provide voice to underrepresented groups. Over the years, I have worked as a film director, editor, visual effects supervisor and vr developer, gaining experience in all aspects of filmmaking and interactive media production. However, I found that teaching was where my true passion lay and I joined Concordia University’s Mel Hoppenheim School of Cinema as a Part-time Faculty. My classes are filled with energy and enthusiasm, as I work tirelessly to inspire a new generation of filmmakers to find a unique voice exploring new technologies. In recent years, I have been particularly interested in the potential of immersive technology to enhance the storytelling experience. I believe that virtual reality and augmented reality offer exciting new possibilities for artists in all fields, not just film. Through my work, I have been able to help artists from different backgrounds and disciplines explore this technology and incorporate it into their own work. Looking to the future, I am excited to continue exploring the potential of immersive technology and to help more artists from all backgrounds and disciplines incorporate it into their work. For me, filmmaking is not just a job or a hobby, but a calling. I am grateful every day for the opportunity to share my passion with others and to make a positive impact through my work.
