A cleaner and smarter city must include the electrification of transport
The automotive industry needs cutting-edge technologies to build next-gen vehicles.
My research group aims to develop solutions for the future of electrified vehicles (EVs).
We are investigating the area of electric motor drives to make them more efficient, compact, lightweight and reliable. Incorporating intelligent algorithms will eventually lead to superior EV performance and extended driving range.
I also contribute to the precise determination of EV energy consumption for optimum charging station planning and integration in the city energy network.
I am a member of Concordia’s Power Electronics and Energy Research Group.
My name is Chunyan Lai and I am an assistant professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering.
