Tuition waiver for
First Nations and Inuit students

Removing barriers to education

This initiative stems from recommendations outlined in Concordia’s Indigenous Directions Action Plan, created – in part –  to respond to the Calls to Action of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission.

This initiative aligns with other recommendations in the plan, which include:

  • Establishing partnerships and relationships with First Nations and Inuit communities
  • Supporting First Nations and Inuit students’ educational choices
  • Expanding funding opportunities and removing financial barriers to education
  • Increasing the rate of recruitment, retention and graduation of First Nations and Inuit students

Tuition waivers will be effective as of fall 2024; the waivers cannot be applied to terms prior to fall 2024.
