I am an international student from India currently in my second year at JMSB with a major in Finance.
Some fun facts about me are that I played basketball for five years and I can speak five languages. I love to travel and be around nature. I am also a crazy animal lover, you will always find me at the Dog Therapy at CU Wellness.
I am also a cinephile (movie buff), so feel free to recommend some good movies!
The one thing I wished I would have known back in my first semester is… that getting a B in a course is not the end of the world. The university experience is about getting involved, attending workshops and getting comfortable with being uncomfortable. It is the only way one can acquire the skills required in the future. Therefore, make optimal use of the valuable resources provided by Concordia.
A tip I have for new students is…1) Study regularly and plan your semester in advance 2) Ask questions! 3) Take breaks and plan time for your hobbies – this helps you focus better!
My favourite part of being a Concordia student is… the unique resources the university has to offer. The Student Success Centre, Career Management Services, Connexions for JMSB students, French conversation groups, Tutoring services … the list runs long!
