Hi everyone! I’m an International student studying Aerospace Engineering. I’m currently in my third semester at Concordia. I love to dance. Whether I’m happy or sad, dance is the one thing that makes me feel good. I like Indian food, poutine and, of course, hands down to the most delicious vegan food ever – People’s Potato. I love writing poems, stories and shayaris. In my spare time, I hang out with my friends and call my family. I like cooking and hosting dinner parties. I feel happy helping others.
The one thing I wished I would have known back in my first semester is… that there are tutors for MATH and ECON. Also, Google and Facebook are like best friends, the only thing you need to do to get an answer is type in the search tab.
A tip I have for new students is… academic advisors and teachers are here to help you, so don’t be afraid to ask them any questions. Use time management workshops and handouts to plan your days before midterm and finals. Almost everything you need is at your fingertips, so go out, explore, and have fun.
My favourite part of being a Concordia student is… that Concordia University provides almost every service or help a student needs, whether it be the Student Success Centre, ISO, MFSC, HOJO, Le Gym, People’s Potato, volunteering, career planning, health services, talking to a counsellor, advocacy and so much more. Moreover, Concordia University has people from various countries, cultures, ages, achievements, and yet we are all still one. Reminds me of a quote: ‘Unity in Diversity’.
