Hello! My name is Cass, I’m in my third year in Sociology going into my fourth year. A fun fact about me is that I have a cat named “Fat Cat” (I’m not joking), I love to binge-watch movies and rewatch them. In my free time, I enjoy hanging out with my friends, trying out new foods and last but not least karaoke!!!
The one thing I wished I would have known back in my first semester is… Looking back at my first semester, I really wish I'd figured out the whole balance thing sooner. Picture this you're juggling your classes, hanging out with friends, and trying not to burn out. It can be very overwhelming, right? What I learned is that finding that balance, where you're not just surviving but actually enjoying every part of university life, makes all the difference. So, don't stress too much about any one thing, just find your groove and make the most of every moment!
A tip I have for new students is… Dive into campus life! Seriously, get involved in clubs, events, and all the cool stuff happening outside of classes. It’ll not only allow you to meet so many awesome people and lifelong friends, it’ll also help you discover passions you never knew that you had. Trust me, it’s these experiences that make your university journey truly unforgettable. So, don’t be shy just jump in and enjoy every moment!
My favorite part of being a Concordia student is… Having the opportunity to meet people from all over the world. It’s like having the whole world right on campus! Chatting with folks from different cultures and backgrounds is like going on a mini adventure every day. Whether it’s swapping stories, tasting new foods, or just sharing laughs, there’s always something exciting happening. It’s like making friends with the world, and it’s pretty cool.
