Hello there! I'm Diarra, I am from Senegal and I love spreading positivity, fostering unity and supporting others with a warm smile and open heart.
The one thing I wished I would have known back in my first semester is… I wish I knew that reaching out for academic help was so beneficial especially because university classes work bit differently than high school.
A tip I have for new students is… come with an open mind and without any negative assumptions or feelings and get involved. Register for any events that you're interested in, join the clubs and take advantage of all the amazing resources that Concordia offers to you! You're young and you have nothing to lose in attending workshops and such but it's also important to make sure to be organized and stay on top of your deadlines.
My favorite part of being a Concordia student is… I love the community. People are very warm, welcoming and ready to help so I never felt like I lacked support in any way.
