My name is Fatemeh and I am an International graduate student studying Quality Systems Engineering. Walking and outdoor exercises have always been my thing. They clear my mind and let me explore the city. I am also really into books and board games, they're my go-to for fun and relaxation. There's nothing like getting lost in a good book or having a board game night with friends.

The one thing I wished I would have known back in my first semester is…  I wish I'd understood the importance of self-care sooner. Whether it's eating well, going for walks, hitting the gym, or simply hanging out with loved ones, it's all crucial. It's easy to let a busy schedule take over, but neglecting our bodies and minds just isn't worth it.

A tip I have for new students is… Feeling lost and overwhelmed happens to everyone. Just remember, it's okay to ask for help and guidance. Take your time to adapt—it's all part of the journey.

My favorite part of being a Concordia student is… to trust me, you'll never be bored here!
