Your day's schedule

8 – 8:55 a.m.

Check-in (Hall Building lobby) 
Check-in starts at 8 a.m. Plan to arrive in time to check in before the Welcome session. 

9 – 9:15 a.m.

Welcome session (H-110)  

We kick off the day by welcoming you to Concordia as the newest members of our community! Hear from staff at the Student Success Centre about the journey you’re embarking on, along with what to expect during the day ahead. 

9:20 – 10:45 a.m.

Getting great grades (H-110) 

Are you ready to learn at the university level? From time management and note-taking to reading and problem-solving, get set up for success! 

11 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Participate in all three sessions. Your times and locations are assigned to you during the Welcome session

CU At The Finish Line Scavenger Hunt (1 hour) 
Team up with fellow new students to solve a series of puzzles across campus using your phone - ranging from augmented reality challenges to Morse code riddles. The winning team of each game wins a prize! 

Meet a friend (1 hour) 
Looking to make friends as you start your university journey? We’ve got you. Meet a friend or two via icebreakers, activities and games. 

Lunch & Lounge (1 hour) 
Eat lunch and engage in social activities and games while learning about awesome services and programs dedicated to helping you connect to your campus community. 

2 – 3:30 p.m.

Student life panel (H-110) 

What is it really like to be a student at Concordia? A panel of current students are here to tell you all about their experience and answer your questions! 

Featuring: a Homeroom Student Facilitator, a Welcome Crew mentor, a recent graduate involved in the CSU and NouLa, and a Sustainability Ambassador.

3:30 – 5:30 p.m.

Downtown Montreal Walking Tour (2 hours) – Departing from H-110 

Discover some of Montreal's hidden gems with the International Students Office to help you settle in! Our walking tour will take you around downtown Montreal and show you some places where you can get affordable food, clothing and groceries.
