Some services affected

Concordia is making every effort to minimize the impact of the strike on you, but you may encounter a temporary slowdown or reduction of services from units operating with reduced personnel.

  • The International Students Office continues to welcome new students and respond to non-immigration-related questions. However, advising appointments and replies to immigration questions will be on hold.
  • The Sexual Assault Resource Centre is open and peer listening, counselling and crisis intervention services are ongoing. You may experience a delay in booking one-on-one appointments.
  • Student Success Centre workshops and events are ongoing. Expect a delay in booking one-on-one appointments.

  • The Welcome Centre remains open with a reduced number of drop-in admissions-advising appointments.

  • The Institute for Co-operative Education and Experiential Learning remain open. You may experience a temporary reduction and slowdown of services offered by program coordinators and the student learning and professional development team.

  • The Financial Aid and Awards Office continues to process aid confirmations and apply funding, but expect a delay in meetings with advisors.

  • The Student Advocacy Office is accepting bookings online for an appointment with an advocate, but expect a delay in the timing of your appointment.

  • The SGW Campus health clinic is open but you will need to rebook your appointment with a nurse or health promotion specialist for a later date, once the strike is over. If you have an appointment with a doctor, expect increased wait-times and possible reduction of some services. (The Health Services team thanks you for your patience and understanding!)

  • The Loyola Campus health clinic is closed. Please direct your questions to the downtown clinic. Once the strike is over, please rebook your appointment.

  • The Access Centre for Students with Disabilities is operational but there may be delays in setting up a consultation to review your accommodation plan.

  • The Centre for Teaching and Learning is open but some workshops may be cancelled.
