How to request an attestation letter (Laptop/Desktop)
This is a guide to requesting an attestation letter using the Student Centre.
Important
Before you start or if you are experiencing any issues accessing your Student Centre:
- Make sure your browser is up-to-date with the latest version available.
- If you are using pop-up blocker, please ensure it is turned off.
- If you are still experiencing issues, try using a different browser.
How to access your Student Centre
Log in to the Student Hub, select My CU Account, then the Student Centre.
Sign in with your Netname and password.
Request an attestation letter
Request an attestation letter to show your student status. Examples of attestation letters might include proof of full-time or part-time status, Certification of graduation, or Immigration/Visa extension.
Select Academics Menu at the top right of the page.
Select Attestation Letters.
The Attestation Letter Request page appears.
Select the appropriate Academic Career (Continuing Education, Graduate, Undergraduate).
Select the desired language for your attestation letter.
Under Conventional Letter, select the appropriate letter (Degree Conferred Letter, Full/Part-time Status Letter, Invitation Letter).
Enter or select a Term. Use the plus sign to add extra terms.
Select Yes or No under Include Term Dates to indicate whether or not you would like your academic term to appear in your attestation letter.
Select Continue to pay.
Check the box for Credits completed/Required to complete.
Check the box for Number of courses/Credits registered.
Enter any additional information in the box Additional Information Required.
Select your delivery method and payment
Specify the mode of delivery:
- By mail – enter the address you'd like your letter mailed to.
- Pick up from Birks Student Service Centre – choose this option if you'd like to receive your attestation letter in person.
Select the Number of Copies required.
Select Submit to continue.
Select Yes to accept the charges.
Select No to decline the charge and cancel the transaction.
Your request has been submitted.
It takes five business days for your request to be processed.
This page displays the status of your request.
Check the status of your request
Select Attestation Letters.
Select the Menu at the top right of the page.
Select Request Status.
You can now view the status of your previous requests.
