David H. Jones was an Athletic Therapy Laboratory instructor in the Department of Exercise Science (now the Department of Health, Kinesiology and Applied Physiology) for more than 20 years. He passed away suddenly in 2014.
During his time at Concordia, he was heavily involved in the national certification of hundreds of students, and was an integral part of the team that launched the PERFORM Centre at the university.
Dave was extremely dedicated to his students and was a beloved husband, father, colleague and friend.
The David H. Jones Memorial Scholarship in Athletic Therapy was created in 2015 to honour his memory. The scholarship is intended to encourage and reward students currently enrolled in the Specialization in Athletic Therapy at Concordia who have demonstrated a strong commitment to the discipline and who are actively pursuing a career in the field.
