Named Funds

Leave your mark by establishing a named fund

Are you looking to make a meaningful impact with your gift? Exploring ways to honour a friend or loved one? Consider naming a fund to support the area of your choice!

With a minimum contribution of $1,000 per year for three years, you can establish a named fund for one of Concordia’s four faculties, recreation and athletics, or the library. Your gift will help students while supporting the priorities of your chosen area.

Choose an area to support

  • Faculty of Arts and Science: Encourage collaboration across diverse disciplines and support experiential learning opportunities such as summer research internships and conference participation.
  • Faculty of Fine Arts: Help reinforce programs and equip facilities at Canada’s largest comprehensive fine arts, design, performance, arts education and arts therapies faculty.
  • John Molson School of Business: Bolster a rich tradition of case competition participation, student society culture, and mentoring and networking with industry leaders.
  • Gina Cody School of Engineering and Computer Science: Help provide hands-on learning opportunities through innovative academic programs and student-led initiatives, and equip researchers pushing the boundaries of design and technology.
  • Department of Recreation and Athletics: Renew financial aid to recruit and retain athletes and coaches, refresh equipment, and expand travel and competition opportunities.
  • Concordia Library: Help refresh collections, renew journal subscriptions, equip study spaces and host seminars and workshops.

How it works

  1. Complete the online donation form and specify the area you’d like to support, along with your preferred fund name.
  2. Once the online form has been submitted and the first instalment of your gift has been processed, a gift agreement with your fund and pledge details will be prepared in three to five days and sent to you by email for your review, approval and electronic signature.
  3. Pledge reminders for the subsequent installments will be sent by email on an annual basis, unless an alternate payment schedule has been requested.

Note: While donors may choose an area to support through their named fund, they may not specify how the funds are to be used by the respective faculty or department.
