Aidan Tecumsah Condo is Mi’kmaq First Nation from the community of Gesgapegiag, in Quebec’s Gaspésie region. Deeply committed to increasing the representation of Indigenous peoples and amplifying their voices, Condo has dedicated his academic and professional career to advocacy and community engagement. He will graduate in June 2025 with a BA in First Peoples Studies and a minor in Law and Society.

At Concordia, Condo immersed himself in community-driven initiatives. He served as the Garnet Key Society’s community project chairperson in 2021-22, organizing a campaign to encourage awareness and support for Indigenous causes and promote reconciliation.

As a participant in the Court of Quebec Program in 2022, he gained firsthand experience with civil court cases that deepened his understanding and appreciation of the Canadian legal system. He shared his insights as a panelist at a Concordia Jurist-in-Residence event in 2024 alongside the Honourable Nicole Duval Hesler, Quebec’s first female chief justice, discussing Indigenous perspectives on law and the importance of self-governance.

Beyond his academic and legal interests, Condo worked as the events coordinator for Concordia’s Office of Indigenous Directions. He organized events celebrating Indigenous peoples and culture, such as the Miywacimo Storyteller’s Competition, which provided a platform to showcase the research of Indigenous graduate students.

After graduation, he looks forward studying law at the University of Toronto. His passion for advocacy and Indigenous rights will continue to guide him as he aspires to contribute meaningfully to the field of Indigenous and Aboriginal Law.

Condo received the Concordia University Alumni Association's Outstanding Student Leader Award in 2025.
