Concordia University's jurist-in-residence, Morton S. Minc, invites you to the conference The Champlain Bridge: The End of a Giant presented by Simon Hébert, deputy project director on the Champlain Bridge Deconstruction project.

Speaker bio

Simon Hébert has worked in the demolition industry for the past 20 years mainly in the dismantling of civil infrastructures.

In 2001 and following an education in Management, Simon began his career as a project manager for a local demolition contractor, specialising in the removal of bridges and highway overpasses. In 2015, Simon joined the Delsan-AIM Environmental Services Team  to build and develop the Civil works division. Since he started is career, Simon participated in more than 200 civil infrastructure removals including marine work and heavy lifting.

Delsan-AIM is the largest Deconstruction and remediation company in Canada that celebrated in 2019, 25 years of integrated and diversified turnkey solutions for demolition, civil demolition, decommissioning, asset recovery, hazardous materials abatement, and site remediation services.

As part of Delsan-AIM’s team, Simon oversees business development, project estimates and key account project management across Eastern Canada for the civil works services. In 2020, Simon was appointed as the Deputy project director on the Champlain Bridge Deconstruction project, awarded to N.H.S.L. (a Pomerleau-Delsan partnership) by JCCBI.
