Starting a conversation with someone you don’t know can feel daunting and stressful, we understand! In this workshop, you'll learn strategies for starting and maintaining dynamic, meaningful social interactions.  We’ll cover skills like finding common interests, asking open-ended questions, reading body language and listening attentively. Through a mix of instruction and interactive exercises, you'll have the opportunity to start building the conversational and social abilities needed to create genuine connections with others.

Takeaways:

  • Useful conversational and social skills that are used by socially successful adults
  • Tools to develop and sharpen self-awareness in social interactions

Accessibility:

We strive to host inclusive, accessible events that enable all individuals, including individuals with disabilities, to engage fully. If you require disability related accommodations, please contact lisa.tomlinson@concordia.ca at least one week before the workshop to allow us time to coordinate your request.
