On November 8, Dean André Roy addressed a crowd of staff, faculty and their families in the Loyola Jesuit Hall and Conference Centre for the twelfth annual Dean’s Awards for Excellence.

Staff and faculty were recognized in four categories: Service to the Faculty by a Staff Member, Teaching, Scholar (junior and mid-career) and Service. The Dean also acknowledged the Strategic Research Cluster University Research Awards, the new Concordia University Research Chairs as well as other Chair designations including Canada Research Chairs.

Honourees were nominated by their students and peers and chosen by a selection committee chaired by Jason Camlot, Associate Dean, Faculty Affairs.

“This event is an important occasion to honour all those who contribute to the excellence and strength of our faculty,” says André Roy, Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Science. “Each honouree has left an indelible mark on our Faculty, not only with their scholarly achievements and impressive research but in the many ways they have enriched the lives of our students.”
