Dr. Sarah Ghabrial Awarded SSHRC Insight Development Grant

Dr. Ghabrial has been awarded an SSHRC Insight Development Grant for her project entitled “Those Who Burn: Border Securitization and the Governance of Mobility between North Africa and Europe, 1848-Present.” This is a two-year project involving archival and oral-history research in France, Algeria, and Quebec and incorporates plans for a monograph, several scholarly articles, and (with separate funding) an international symposium at Concordia.
