Discover the breadth of studying history
Concordia faculty are involved with such subjects as oral history, policy development, documentary production, digital media, and museum curatorship. Training in public history prepares students for work both in and outside the academy, and raises fascinating issues regarding how history is shaped, experienced, and disputed in politics, culture, and everyday life.
Students can secure training relevant for future careers in museums, historic sites, archives, cultural institutions, film and television production, legal institutions, and all levels of government.
Our programs
We offer undergraduate and graduate degrees in global history taught by forward-looking academics. In addition to offering Canada’s first undergraduate program in Public History, and a unique minor Law & Society, we offer a wide variety of special topics courses, including genocide, human rights and gender studies.
Financial awards
All incoming graduate students are automatically considered for all available major awards.
