Concordia History professors and students collaborate on the International Handbook of Deindustrialization Studies

Routledge has just published the International Handbook of Deindustrialization Studies, an edited volume with 27 chapters co-edited by five people including Dr. Steven High. There are chapters from Dr. Matthew Penney and former PhD student Fred Burrill on “Uneven Development, the World-System, and Lumpenization: Bringing Marxian Political Economy Back Into Deindustrialization Studies,” and former MA student Liam Devitt on “ ‘Dad, Why Did You Bring Me to a Gay Steel Mill?’: Notes Toward a Queer Study of Deindustrialization”.  Dr. High's chapter is on “Theorizing Deindustrialization.
