Dr. Ted McCormick awarded the John Ben Snow Prize

Congratulations to Dr. Ted McCormick for his latest monograph, Human Empire: Mobility and Demographic Thought in the British Atlantic World, 1500-1800 (Cambridge University Press, 2022) which was awarded the John Ben Snow Prize last week, at the annual meeting of the North American Conference of British Studies in Baltimore. 

The prize is given annually for "the best book by a North American scholar in any field of British Studies dealing with the period from the Middle Ages through the eighteenth century." 

The book is also the subject of a roundtable in the next print issue of the journal History of European Ideas; it's appearing piece by piece online with contributions from historians in Canada, the US, and the UK.
