Annual Undergraduate Conference in Celtic and Irish Studies
Theme: Traditional Perspectives and New Departures
We are pleased to announce that registration is now open for the Fifth Annual Undergraduate Conference in Celtic and Irish Studies, to be held at the Concordia University’s School of Irish Studies, Feb. 9th –10, 2018. We invite undergraduate students working in Celtic or Irish Studies, whether in traditional disciplines such as History, Literature, Film, Theatre, etc., or on interdisciplinary topics, to participate.
Please send proposals for twenty-minute papers or poster presentations via email to conuirishsociety@gmail.com by December 31, 2017. Successful applicants will be asked to complete the registration package and pay the $10 registration fee by January 31, 2018. Non-participants are welcome and may pay the $10 registration fee at the door.

Guidelines
Those wishing to present a paper are asked to send a 250-300 word abstract, while those proposing a poster should send a summary of approximately 100 words. The deadline for both is no later than December 31, 2017. Please specify the format of the presentation (PowerPoint, video, etc.). Applicants must include their name, school, year, and phone number, so that the assessment committee can contact them. Applicants will be informed of the result of their submission by January 10, 2018. If chosen, completed papers should be sent to conuirishsociety@gmail.com by January 20, 2018.
A limited amount of funding may be available to provide partial support to participants from outside Montreal.
