Gina Cody School students showcase engineering innovation

Final-year engineering students at Concordia’s Gina Cody School of Engineering and Computer Science are preparing to present their capstone projects at the Capstone Poster Presentation from April 1 to 3, 2025, in the EV Atrium. The event brings together students, faculty, industry professionals and the wider Concordia community to explore engineering solutions developed over months of research, design and testing.
For many students, the Capstone Project represents the culmination of their studies, applying their knowledge to solve practical challenges in fields such as electrical, mechanical, software, aerospace, industrial, civil and building engineering. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage with teams, ask questions and discover a wide range of innovative projects.
Last year’s event featured the Living Heart Valve Bioreactor, which won the Capstone SDG Impact Award (Tier 1) for its contribution to developing longer-lasting heart valve replacements. The project aimed to help researchers grow and test tissue-engineered heart valves, reducing the need for multiple surgeries in pediatric patients.
The 2025 edition will highlight another round of impressive projects tackling complex engineering problems. Whether you are a student, faculty member, industry expert or part of the Concordia community, the Capstone Poster Presentation is a chance to discover new ideas and celebrate student achievement.
