The results are in! John Molson celebrates six wins
Concordia University’s John Molson School of Business has reasons to celebrate. Six notable wins that kicked off 2023 will fuel the School’s success for years to come.
“Our results are a reflection of the dedication that our academic and administrative staff bring to John Molson every day,” says Anne-Marie Croteau, dean of the John Molson School of Business. “These wins tell us that we are on the right path, and in alignment with the long-term goals we have committed ourselves through our strategic plan. It is an exciting time for our School, and I am proud of what we have accomplished.”
The Princeton Review ranks John Molson twice
The Princeton Review has declared the John Molson graduate entrepreneurial studies as Top 40 in the world, moving the School up at least 10 spots in the past year.
Our commitment to studies in entrepreneurship – like our National Bank Initiative in Entrepreneurship and Family Business as well as the Barry F. Lorenzetti Center on Women in Entrepreneurship and Leadership – has not gone unnoticed.
Additionally, for the first time, The Princeton Review has included John Molson in their list highlighting the Best Business Schools for 2023: Best On-Campus MBA Programs. Few schools outside the USA are considered for this ranking, which means that John Molson is in the company of HEC Paris, National University of Singapore and more.
Parity Certification renewed
John Molson is proud to announce that we remain a parity certified organization. Le Gouvernance au Feminin has recognized our faculty as one that values gender parity and renewed our certification for another year. With this certification we join distinguished industry partners in our commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion.
“We made significant improvements in the Governance and Vision category,” explains Amalia Dinut, John Molson’s surveys & data analyst. “Specifically, our report highlights our success in demonstrating our intention to sustain parity through policies and practices that are building a pipeline of female talent.”
Full member of the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD)
The School is now a full member of the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD), an international, not-for-profit, membership organization of business schools and corporations.
This means that the school now has voting rights in the EFMD Global Network Annual General Platforms. But, most importantly this full membership status is a requirement for accreditation. By becoming a full member, we are on the right path to becoming an EQUIS accredited institution.
CPA Program Celebrates
The John Molson Chartered Professional Accountancy (CPA) Program continues to have a strong Common Final Examination pass rate and we are proud of our 2022 capstones cohort. Ninety students successfully passed the 2022 Common Final Examination (CFE), with one of our students, Jaeanne Bayucot, being recognized on the Canadian Honor Roll.
Each year, the CPA Foundation bestows 200 scholarships including the Assistance Towards Success scholarships given to students who have begun the course equivalence process and students who are registered or in the process of registering for the CPA Professional Education Program (PEP). John Molson students Chelsea Rubert and Jeanne Anjelica Tolentino were awarded these scholarships to help them cover all costs involved in continuing their studies toward the CPA designation.
