This Spring Break, get your kids off the couch...
For working parents, and parents who are studying, finding care for your child on some days can be a challenge.
Athletic Camps, offered by Concordia’s Department of Recreation and Athletics, give participants the opportunity to improve agility, balance and coordination while developing skills in teamwork and sportsmanship.
Held over Spring Break, as well as on pedagogical days and on weekends, the camps are led by Concordia University varsity athletes. They allow kids to socialize with other kids while staying active.
Each camp has a different focus:
Spring Break Camp, February 29 to March 4
For boys and girls between the ages of six and 14, this camp includes a wide variety of activities including sports, team-building games, obstacle courses and relay races. If you register by Monday, February 1, you can take advantage of the early-bird discount.
Ped Day camp
This camp is for children in Grades 1 to 6 and costs $25 per day. Arrangements must be made at least three working days in advance.
Both the Ped Day and Spring Break programs run from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and include the possibility of early drop-offs and late pick-ups.
The Weekend Multisport program
Offered Sunday mornings from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. this camp is open to kids aged between six and 14. Once enrolled, children are assigned to different teams according to their age. The camp includes a variety of sports, team-building activities, games and technical skill development in multiple sports.
All camps are held at the Concordia Athletics Complex (7200 Sherbrooke W.) on the Loyola Campus.
