Message from the dean of students: ‘Make the most of your time at Concordia’
We’ve had a great start to the new school year, welcoming 9,000 new students to our two campuses. I hope you’ve had the chance to settle in and that your first month has been a good one.
As a large, urban university, we’re home to more than 46,000 students from 143 countries.
That’s pretty impressive.
Our multicultural student population is one of our biggest assets. Concordia is a place where you can meet new friends, learn about different cultures and be exposed to different languages.
Respecting people’s differences and creating a safe environment for all our students is important to us at Concordia. Each and every one of you has a key role to play in making this happen.
I encourage you to take advantage of all Concordia has to offer. We have services to support you in your studies and personal growth. You can access tutoring, meet a Student Success Mentor, join a student club or cheer on a Stingers sports team.
I hope you’ll make the best of your time here and I wish you good luck in your studies this year.
Andrew Woodall
Dean of Students
