Gracy Pardillo
For the past 12 years, Pardillo has worked in the university sector in a variety of roles. Most recently she was senior project director of Finance and Administration at McGill University’s Faculty of Medicine, the largest faculty at the institution.
She also served as manager of Institutional Controls and director of Controls and Compliance while working in the Financial Services unit.
“Gracy understands the university sector and how it works. Her experience will be a definite asset in her new role here as controller,” says Denis Cossette, Concordia’s chief financial officer.
“She also has a solid track record in cultivating successful teams and implementing projects to improve financial operations, including controls and compliance.”
While at McGill, Pardillo led a project to restructure the Faculty of Medicine’s administrative structure. This resulted in a new management model: administrative excellence centres of HR and financial professionals working collaboratively to ensure efficient operations.
“I look forward to joining Concordia’s team,” says Pardillo. “I see this as a tremendous opportunity for me to leverage my experience and support the university in its financial operations.”
Prior to joining McGill, Pardillo worked in the private sector, including serving as controller and then director of finance at Professional Pharmaceutical Corp. (Marcelle and Neutrogena cosmetics).
She obtained her Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting and a Graduate Diploma in Public Accountancy from McGill University.
In addition to being a CPA, Pardillo is a certified internal auditor and certified fraud examiner.
Cossette extends his appreciation to Lyne Bouret, who has been serving as Concordia’s interim controller since June 1, 2016.
“I’d like to thank Lyne for taking on this very important responsibility on an interim basis. She has done an exceptional job,” says Cossette.
