Concordia’s sugar shack is back, with a green twist
Interested in attending a cabane à sucre à la Concordia? Come check out this annual Quebec tradition — with a sustainability twist.
On Tuesday, April 10, leave your lunch at home and enjoy a traditional sugar-shack lunch with friends and coworkers.
This year’s menu includes pea soup, old-fashioned country ham in maple syrup, pancakes and more. Vegetarian and vegan options are also available. And, of course, there will be maple taffy on snow, available for a $2 donation.
The annual sugar-shack meal is hosted by Hospitality Concordia, with proceeds supporting the Concordia University Student Parents Centre (CUSP). This year’s event has also received a Sustainable Event Certification under the Sustainable Events pilot project. Don’t forget to bring your travel mug to cut back on waste!
When: Tuesday, April 10, from 12 to 2 p.m.
Where: The Engineering, Computer Science and Visual Arts Integrated Complex (EV) atrium (1515 Sainte-Catherine W.)
Cost: $13 per person, taxes included
