SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 30: What’s open and closed on the make-up day
The make-up day replaces October 1, which is election day in Quebec.

Under the Quebec Election Act, students are given the day off to vote.
As a result, all instructional activities at Concordia, including classes, tutorials, labs and studio sessions are cancelled on Monday, October 1, 2018.
Make-up date – Sunday, September 30
Professors will be notifying their students about whether classes or other academic activities, normally held on October 1, will be held on the make-up day, to be held on Sunday, September 30.
The following services will be operating on Sunday, September 30
Shuttle Bus
- On Sunday, September 30 and Monday, October 1, the shuttle bus will be operating according to its regular schedule. However, please note that because some roads will be closed from Friday at midnight to Monday at 5 a.m., there may be some delays.
Libraries
- The R. Howard Webster and Vanier Libraries will be open for study, 24 hours.
- The circulation and loans desks will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- The Vanier Reference Desk and Webster ASK US! Desk will be open from noon to 5 p.m.
- The online chat reference will be open from noon to 5 p.m.
- The Grey Nuns Reading Room and Group Study Rooms will be open for study from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Food Services
- Loyola Campus: Richard J. Renaud Science Complex (SP Building): Tim Hortons will be open from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- Sir George Williams Campus: J.W. McConnell Building (L:B) Tim Hortons will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Grey Nuns and Buzz Dining Halls: will be open as usual, 7 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.
Athletic facilities
- Le Gym (Sir George Williams Campus) will be open from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 30.
- The Loyola Athletic Complex, including the Ed Meagher Arena, gymnasium and outdoor playing fields, will be open from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m.
- PERFORM Centre’s conditioning floor (Loyola Campus) will be open as usual, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Tunnel access
- Tunnels on the Sir George Williams Campus will be open.
Parking
- Parking in the J.W. McConnell Building (LB) will be open.
- Loyola parking will be open.
- Faubourg parking will be open.

- All university offices, including administration and academic offices
- Campus retail stores
- Health services
- Access centre for students with disabilities (while the main will be closed, accommodated exams will still be running)
- Webster and Vanier Libraries: interlibrary loans, special collections and technology sandbox
- Counselling and psychological services
- Birks Student Centre
- Student Accounts Office
- Student Success Centre
- Financial Aid Office
- Co-op Program Office
Athletic facilities
- PERFORM Centre: The athletic therapy clinic will also be closed.
