Attend Concordia’s virtual Open House this February — from wherever you are
Following the success of Concordia’s first-ever virtual Open House last October, the winter 2021 undergraduate Open House will take place online Saturday, February 20, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. EST.
The virtual Open House allows students all over the world to experience a bit of what Concordia has to offer, through virtual tours, live chats with faculty members and recruiters, presentations and Q and A sessions.
Feedback from prospective students who attended Concordia’s October virtual Open House was resoundingly positive. Over 2,200 prospective undergrads attended, logging in from 109 countries.
An added benefit of a virtual Open House is that presentations and tours are available online for a month following the event. If you’d like to attend but can’t make it on February 20, you can still access the event site until March 20.
Easy and accessible attendance
Anyone can register to attend on the Open House webpage. You don’t need a webcam because you will be able to communicate with the chat function in Zoom presentations and at information booths.
The event will be a combination of scheduled presentations from faculty recruiters and professors, and virtual information booths where you can chat in real-time with professors, admissions officers, student services staff and student representatives.
Planning your future
Prospective undergraduates will be able to visit information booths and take part in live chats about on-campus housing, work-study options, the Co-op program, student clubs and sports. International students will be able to ask questions about required documentation and immigration processes with representatives from Concordia’s International Students Office.
“We are looking forward to our second virtual Open House for undergraduate students,” says Matthew Stiegemeyer, Concordia’s director of student recruitment. “Everything was very new for our first event in October. We were able to reach a wider audience than we could with an in-person event, and we are ready to help more people discover what Concordia has to offer.”
