As students head back to class, many are also in search of the extracurricular activities that add to university life and Concordia’s BIPOC community is no exception.

For Black, Indigenous and persons of colour, having a support system of people who understand one another and go through similar struggles is important, especially in light of the recent atrocities that some of these communities have experienced.

To help the BIPOC community with various issues, Concordia is lucky to have a handful of active clubs catering to these groups.

Here are seven to get you started:

The Black Perspectives office, for instance, offers assistance to students during their studies, while the Concordia Student Union's BIPOC Committee meets bi-weekly to plan projects that benefit students of colour. In addition, the university keeps an active list of student groups to help students connect with BIPOC clubs and other communities of interest.
